Cabin Fever?

Greetings Capon Friends!

Do you have a bad case of cabin fever?  If you are like me, you are dreaming of warmer days walking around the Capon grounds and devouring a delicious meal on the hill!  So why not start making your plans to visit now?  What could be nicer than getting the exact dates you want and reserving the accommodations you like the best?  EVEN BETTER, check our website for all the fantastic specials we're offering this season!

SPECIAL RATES AND DEALS:

Many of you loved our $99 specials with free golf and a healthy spa discount.  We've added two more of these for 2014 and plan to keep the three others we placed on the calendar last year.  In fact, we are opening our official season on Sunday, April 27 instead of the normal May 1st start.  We figured, why not?  We're going to be open for Easter this April, so all our facilities will be up and running already!

So if you come regularly during the summer, you can now come early (April) and late (October) and space your stays about three months apart.  We know that some of you will hit all five of the $99 specials, because several of you did all three that we offered last time.  A number of you suggested that we should get everything on the books ahead of the season so you could plan out your year just the way you would like to.  If you want to make plans for late October now, please do so.  Or if you want to be here at the end of April, again in June, again in September and then in October, you can make all of those plans right now.  Imagine the peace of mind in having everything already scheduled!

To top things off, we are going to conclude our 82nd with a special $82 rate for November 9 and November 10, with a special Veterans Day program on the morning of the 11th!  Wow!  Most of the choice spots for these specials will gradually disappear, so we do hope to hear from you before too much longer!

AS FOR PATTY AND ME,
we have been spending a fairly quiet winter, visiting with family and friends, helping out with Lions Club, Neighbor to Neighbor and the area churches.  Our biggest news is that we have a new great niece that came all the way from China!  (We're making plans to visit her in Knoxville in the coming weeks.)  We've added to our immediate family as well.  In mid-October, this adorable little kitty followed one our guests back to Capon from out on the Orange Trail.  "Daisy" immediately touched our hearts and quickly made herself at home with our three other "rescued" cats.  We hope that this post finds you well and is just the right tonic for your cabin fever!  See you soon!
